Assigning Students to an Advisor


In this topic, you will learn how to Assign a Student to an Advisor for the First Time.


Steps:

  1. Click Main Menu

  2. Click Faculty/Admin.Self-Service

    Step 2
  3. Click Student Advisor

    Step 3
  4. Enter the student's ID.   In this example, enter 0123456

    Step 4
  5. Click Include History.

    Step 5
  6. Click Search.

    Step 6
  7. The current date will be reflected on the page as the effective date.

  8. Enter the required information in the fields or use the magnifying glass to search and select:

     

    Academic Career:  UGRD or GRAD

  9. Click the Look Up button.

  10. Click the Undergrad link.

  11. Enter / Select the Academic Program

    Step 11
  12. Click the UGRD Bus. & Public Affairs link.

    Step 12
  13. Enter / Select the Academic Plan (Major).

  14. Click the Pre-Business:Management BS link.

  15. Academic Advisor:   Enter the Faculty ID or use the magnifying glass to search by name.

  16. In this example, we'll search by name.   Enter:  McGee.

  17. Click the Lookup button.

  18. Click the Select button.

  19. All fields should be populated.

     

    Click Save.

  20. Use the Return to Search button to add a new Student.
