Advisor Comments

In this topic, you will learn how to add Advisor Comments for a Degree Progress Report.


  1. Click Main Menu

  2. Click Faculty/Admin. Self-Service

  3. Click WCU Advisor Comments

  4. To add a new comment, click the Add a New Value tab.


    You can also click the Add a New Value link.

  5. Enter the student's ID number.  In this example, enter 0011567.


    If you don't know the ID, you can click the magnifying glass to perform a search.

  6. Click the Add button.

This page will allow you to insert comments on the academic advisement report.  The comments will become a permanent part of the student's academic advisement report.  All comments are date stamped automatically and carry the name of the advisor who inserted the comments.   All comments can be viewed by anyone who has the security to run a degree progress report transcript.


    Important Note:   You cannot delete a comment.  You can only add a new comment.  An automatic email will be sent to the student indicating that you have inserted a comment.

  8. Click in the Comments field and type your comments.

    In this example, enter: Add a new comment here.

  9. Click Save


    When you save, the comment will display on the student's Degree Progress Report (DPR) and a generic email will be sent to the student indicating that you inserted a comment on their DPR.

  10. To return HOME, click the myWCU logo.

  11. You can also navigate to Advisor Comments using the Enterprise Menu.
