Entering Work Experience Information


Concept


Steps:

  1. Begin by navigating to the Work Experience page.

     

    Click the Campus Community link.

  2. Click the Personal Information link.

  3. Click the Biographical link.

  4. Click the Work Experience link.

  5. Enter the desired information into the ID field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "FA0015"
    .

  6. Click the Search button.

  7. Use the Work Experience page to enter data to track an individual's work experience.

  8. If the employer is an organization in your database, enter the organization's ID. The system displays the organization name. If the employer is not an organization in your database, enter the employer's name.

     

    In this example, the employer is the University of Montreal, and this institution is already in your database.

     

    Enter the desired information into the Employer field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "000010060"

  9. Click the Change Country link.

  10. Click the vertical scrollbar.

  11. Click an entry in the Country column.

  12. Select the Relevant Work Experience check box to indicate that the former position is relevant to a current position within your institution or to the career that the individual is seeking.

     

    Click the Relevant Work Experience option.

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "Montreal"

  19. Enter an Industry Code (SIC) if it is relevant to the employment. In this example, you will leave the field blank.

  24. If the person retired from this employer, enter a Retire Date.

  27. Enter a Occupation Code (SOC) if it is relevant to the employment. In this example, you will leave the field blank.
