Setting Up Contact Types



  1. Begin by navigating to the Contact Type Table page.


    Click the Campus Community link.

  2. Click the Organization link.

  3. Click the Contact Type Table link.

  4. Click the Add a New Value tab.

  5. Enter the desired information into the Contact Type field. Enter

     a valid value

  6. Click the Add button.

  7. Use the Contact Type Table page to define the type of contacts that your institution might have with external organizations.

  8. Use the Effective Date field to enter the date from which this contact type is valid. It defaults to the current system date, but can be modified if necessary. To ensure this value is available for all possible records, use a date far in the past.


    Enter the desired information into the Effective Date field. Enter

     a valid value

  9. The Status can be either Active or Inactive.

  10. Click in the Description field.

  11. Enter the desired information into the Description field. Enter

     a valid value
     "Financial Aid Advisor"

    Step 11
  12. Click in the Short Description field.

    Step 12
  13. Enter the desired information into the Short Description field. Enter

     a valid value

  14. Click the Save button.

You have successfully added a contact type to the database.
