Assigning a Checklist to an Event


Concept


Steps:

  1. Begin by navigating to the Event Checklist Mgmt 1 page.

     

    Click the Campus Community link.

  2. Click the Checklists link.

  3. Click the Checklist Management - Event link.

  4. Click the Add a New Value tab.

  5. Enter the desired information into the Event ID field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "000021707"
    .

  6. Click the Add button.

  7. Use the Event Checklist Mgmt 1 page to specify checklist items for an event by selecting the meetings that make up the event.

  8. The Checklist Date Time field is populated with the date and time of the checklist's creation.  By default, it is set to the current system date and time.

  9. In the Academic Institution field, specify the entity with which this event is associated. This entity can be a university or a college that runs independently from other similar entities and has its own set of rules and business processes.

     

    In this example, you need to change the value in this field.

     

    Click the Academic Institution list.

  10. Click the Great Lakes University list item.

  11. Use the Checklist Code field to enter the code that describes the checklist assigned to this organization. The only checklist codes available are those associated with the EVNT (Event) administrative function on the Checklist Item Functions page.

     

    Click in the Checklist Code field.

  12. Enter the desired information into the Checklist Code field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "THANKU"

  13. Refresh the page.

     

    Press [Tab].

  14. Notice that the system automatically displays the overall checklist due date as the default due date for each checklist item. You can override this date, but it must be with an earlier date so that the item due date does not exceed the overall due date of the checklist.

  15. Click the Event Checklist Mgmt 2 tab.

  16. Use the Event Checklist Mgmt 2 page to assign a checklist to an event.

     

    Notice that an item is automatically populated based on the values entered in the Event Checklist Mgmt 1 page. You can modify or delete this item or insert additional items if needed. In this example, you will use all the default item.

  17. The Sequence field displays the number of this checklist item in the list of checklist items for this event.

  18. The Item Code field displays the code of this checklist item. The item codes available are from the Checklist Item Functions page for the administrative function selected.

  19. The Item Status field indicates the status of the checklist item. It can be set to Initiated, In Progress, or Completed.

  20. The system also displays the overall checklist due date as the default due date for each checklist item. You can override this date with an earlier date so that the item due date does not exceed the overall due date of the checklist.

You have successfully assigned a checklist to an event.
