Begin by navigating to the Alerts Header page.

Use the Alerts Header page to review the events triggered by running the SEVIS Alerts - J process.Step 6

If you have a large number of events to view, use the Selection page to filter the data based on the options listed here.Step 8

All of the events without errors are moved to the View SEVIS Events History pages each time the SEVIS Alerts - J process is run.Step 10
You can also add a row to manually enter an event. You can add a manual event only for an exchange visitor with a SEVIS ID for the program number on the page.
You can manually enter the following events for J visas: EVMatriculation, EndProgram, CorrectInfraction, TerminateEV, and ValidateParticipant.Step 11
Click the Set All "Send To" to SEVIS link to set all the Send To values to SEVIS.
Only events that have no errors and need no additional data are selected. Only the events with Send to SEVIS selected are submitted to SEVIS during the Export SEVIS Events - J process.Step 12
Click the Set All "Send To" to None link to set all of the Send To values to None.Step 13
Click the Form link to access the DS-2019 Form page in update/display mode.Step 14
Click the Errors link to view the Errors page.Step 15
Click the Addl Data tab.Step 16
Use the Addl Data page to view the SEVIS Program Number and associated J visas information. Data on this page changes based on the event.Step 17
The J visas events containing additional data are: Edit EV Bio, Update Subject/Field, Amend Program, EV Extension, EV Matriculation, Correct Infraction, Terminate EV, End Program, Edit Dependent Personal, Terminate Dependent, Dependent End Status, and Add Dependent. The EV Matriculation, Terminate EV, Correct Infraction, and End Program events have additional data that is required before you can submit the event to SEVIS.
Once you have entered the additional data and are ready to submit the event to SEVIS, set the Send to field to SEVIS on the Alerts Header page, and save.Step 18
You can view different events by using the Next Row and Previous Row navigation arrows.

You must correct the data error before the event can be submitted to SEVIS. Most of the errors indicate that required data is missing for the student/exchange visitor or dependent. If the missing data is for a dependent, the ID of the dependent is listed in the error.Step 22
Click the Details link to view additional detail regarding an error.

Use the Message Explanation page to review the error message information.Step 24
