Manually Adding Items to a Collector's Queue


Concept


Steps:

  1. Begin by accessing the Collection Placement page.

     

    Click the Student Financials link.

  3. Click the Put Customers in Collection link.

  4. Click the Search button.

  5. Use the Collection Placement page to manually add students or corporations to the collections without using the workflow process.

  6. You want to place two customers into collections.  The first is Sandra Epstein, whose student ID is SF0001.

     

    Enter the desired information into the ID field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "SF0001"

  7. Click in the Reason In field.

  8. Enter the reason that the student (or corporation) is in collection.  The reason here is that the account is past due, code PDA.

     e.g.

  9. Notice that when you enter the customer ID, their Account Total appears.

  10. Click in the Collector Role field.

  11. You are assigned as the collector for these students, in the role of CS - Collector A.

     

    Enter the desired information into the Collector Role field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "CS - Collector A"

  12. Click the Add Row button.

  13. You can add more than one row at a time. In this example, you only need to add one row.

     

    Click the OK button.

  14. The next customer is Ellen Selby, whose ID is SF0089.

     

    Enter the desired information into the ID field. Enter

     e.g.
     "SF0089"

  15. Enter the desired information into the Reason In field. Enter

     a valid value

     "PDA"

  19. Next, access the Collector Queue page to view your updated list of collection items to be worked.

     

    Click the Collection Effort link.

  20. Click the View Customer Collector Queue link.

  21. Click in the User ID field.

  22. Enter your user ID as a collector, which is PS.

     

    Enter the desired information into the User ID field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "PS"

  24. Recall that you assigned yourself the CS - Collector A collector role.

     

    Enter the desired information into the Role Name field. Enter

     a valid value

  26. Use the Collector Queue page to view collection activity for a student or corporation by collector queue, enabling you to view what is currently in a collector's queue.

  27. Click the Collection ID link to view the Demographic Information page for a collections customer.

  28. You can see that the two new customers have been added to the bottom of the collection queue.
