Creating Committees


Concept


Steps:

  1. Begin by navigating to the Committee page.

     

    Click the Campus Community link.

  2. Click the Manage Committees link.

  3. Click the Add a New Value tab.

  4. Click in the Committee field.

  5. Enter the desired information into the Committee field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "GRECON"

  6. Click the Add button.

  7. Use the Committee page to create or review a committee.

  8. Use the Effective Date field to enter the date from which this committee is valid. It defaults to the current system date, but can be modified if necessary. To ensure this value is available for all possible records, use a date far in the past.

     

    Enter the desired information into the Effective Date field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "01/01/1900"

  9. The Status can be Active or Inactive.

  10. Click in the Committee Name field.

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "Graduate Economics Admission"

  14. Use the Description field to enter descriptive information about this committee. For the purposes of this example only, this field will be filled in for you to save time.

  15. Click the Committee Members tab.

  16. Use the Committee Members page to assign individual members to a committee.

  17. In the Member Number field, the system displays the number of this member in the list of members for this committee.

     

    The system automatically enters the next sequential number for each member that you add. You can override the number manually to reorder the list of committee members.

  21. Click the Academic Member of Committee list item.

    Press [Tab].

  25. Notice that the End Date field automatically populated with a date one year from the Start Date. You can override this value if necessary. In this example, retain the default.
