Aging Accounts


Concept


Steps:

  1. Begin by navigating to the Credit History page.

     

    Click the Student Financials link.

  5. You can run this process by searching for an existing Run Control ID or you can add a new value. Creating a Run Control ID that is relevant to the report may help you remember it for future use.

     

    Click the Add a New Value tab.

  6. A Run Control ID is an identifier that, when paired with your User ID, uniquely identifies the process you are running. The Run Control ID defines parameters that are used when a process is run. This ensures that when a process runs in the background, the system does not prompt you for additional values.

     

    Enter the desired information into the Run Control ID field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "PCH1"

  7. Click the Add button.

  8. Use the Credit History page to enter the request parameters. These parameters will be used to define the processing rules and data to be included when the process is run.

  9. Use the Credit History page to process customer history, including assigning aging sets and service indicator sets.

  10. Use the Select Option group box to select how to run the Credit History process.  You can run the process for:

    • All of the students or organizations in the database with outstanding charges.

    • A single student or external organization.

    • A range of students or external organizations.

    • Those students or external organizations that have had activity on their accounts since a given date.

    • A predefined query group of select students by academic program.

     

    The fields to the right of this group box change, depending on the option you select.

  11. You want to run the Credit History process for a range of student IDs.

     

    Click the ID Range option.

  14. Select the Aging Set containing the aging categories to which you want to assign outstanding charges.

     

    Enter the desired information into the Aging Set field. Enter

  15. Use the ID Switch field to choose whether to run the Credit History process for students (By Emplid) or for organizations (By Org ID).

  17. You want to run the process for all students with IDs from SF0001 to SF0090.

     

    Enter the desired information into the Start ID field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.

  20. Select the Service Indicator Update check box to post a service indicator to the students' records.

     

    Click the Service Indicator Update option.

  22. Enter the set of rules that you want to use for the service indicator. In this case, you want to assign a standard indicator set.

     

    Enter the desired information into the Service Indicator Set field. Enter

  25. Use the Back Date group box if you want to recalculate credit history for a prior date.

  26. At this point, you would continue to run the Credit History process just as you would any other PeopleSoft Enterprise Process Scheduler process.

     

    Refer to the Running Reports module for an example of running a process.

  27. You can also review the customer credit history for a student using the Credit History page, or an external organization using the Corporation Credit History page.

     

    Click the Review Credit History link.
