Defining Class Enrollment Blocks


Concept


Steps:

  1. Begin by navigating to the Class Enrollment Blocks page.

     

    Click the Records and Enrollment link.

  2. Click the Enroll Students link.

  3. Click the Create Class Block link.

  4. Click the Add a New Value tab.

  5. Click in the Class Enrollment Block field.

  6. Enter the desired information into the Class Enrollment Block field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "UGRD1"
    .

  7. Click the Add button.

  8. Use the Block Enrollment Classes page to define groups of classes for block enrollment purposes. You can then merge blocks of classes with blocks of students by using the Block Enrollment component.

  9. Enter the desired information into the Description field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "Undergraduate first year"

  10. Click in the Term field.

  11. Enter the desired information into the Term field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "0590"

  12. Click in the Class Nbr field.

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "1208"

  14. Click the Add Row button.

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "0590"

  16. Click in the Class Nbr field.

  17. Enter the desired information into the Class Nbr field. Enter

     "1006"

  18. Click the Add Row button.

     a valid value

  20. Click in the Class Nbr field.

  22. If you have already defined your student enrollment blocks, or you do not need to define student blocks, you can access the Block Enroll Merge page with the Add Merge Process link.

  23. Click the Class Block Defaults link to access the Class Block Defaults page, where you can set default values for security access overrides of enrollment functions. The overrides that you set on this page are used for each new class enrollment block detail that you enter.

You have successfully created a class enrollment  block.
