Purging Transcripts



  1. Begin by navigating to the Purge Transcript Reports page.


    Click the Records and Enrollment link.

  4. You can run this process by searching for an existing Run Control ID or you can add a new value. Creating a Run Control ID that is relevant to the process may help you remember it for future use.


    Click the Add a New Value tab.

  5. A Run Control ID is an identifier that, when paired with your User ID, uniquely identifies the process you are running. The Run Control ID defines parameters that are used when a process is run. This ensures that when a process runs in the background, the system does not prompt you for additional values.


    Enter the desired information into the Run Control ID field. Enter

     a valid value

  6. Click the Add button.

  7. Use the Purge Transcript Reports page to enter the request parameters. These parameters will be used to define the processing rules and data to be included when the process is run.

  8. Select this option to purge all results.


    Warning: selecting the Purge All Results option will override the Freeze Record flag set on the report request record and will delete all data from the results table.

  9. Select this option to purge by transcript type parameter, date range, or user ID selection.

  10. When this option is selected, all information associated with the request will be deleted. Requests will not appear on the Transcript Request Inquiry page after the process runs.


    Click the Purge Report Requests and Logs option.

  14. You want to purge transcripts requested in December 2006.


    Enter the desired information into the Request Date From field. Enter

  18. You want to purge requests made by Ana Beck, whose ID is SR0400. The system purges transcript requests and print requests initiated by this user.


    Enter the desired information into the Request User ID field. Enter

     a valid value

  19. At this point, you would continue to run the Purge Transcript Reports process just as you would any other PeopleSoft Enterprise Process Scheduler process.


    Refer to the Running Reports module for examples of running a process.

You have successfully purged transcripts from the system.
