Setting Up Event Types


Concept


Steps:

  1. Begin by navigating to the Event Types pages.

     

    Click the Campus Community link.

  2. Click the Campus Event Planning link.

  3. Click the Event Type Table link.

    Step 3
  4. Click the Add a New Value tab.

  5. Enter the desired information into the Event Type field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "JF"
    .

  6. Click the Add button.

    Step 6
  7. Use the Event Types page to define the general types of events.

    Step 7
  8. Use the Effective Date field to enter the date from which this event type is valid. It defaults to the current system date, but can be modified if necessary. To ensure this value is available for all possible records, use a date far in the past.

     

    Enter the desired information into the Effective Date field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "01/01/1900"
    .

    Step 8
  9. The Status can be Active or Inactive.

  10. Click in the Description field.

  11. Enter the desired information into the Description field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "Job Fair"
    .

    Step 11
  12. Click in the Short Description field.

    Step 12
  13. Enter the desired information into the Short Description field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "Job Fair"
    .

  14. Click the Save button.

You have successfully created an event type.
