Processing Course Transfer Credit Models Manually

Steps:

  1. Begin by navigating to the Transfer Course Entry page.

     

    Click the Records and Enrollment link.

  2. Click the Course Credits - Manual link.

  3. Click the Search button.

  4. Use the Transfer Course Entry page to set up course transfer credit models and articulate transfer credit manually as you set up models, rather than by using predefined equivalency rules.

  5. Click the Add Row button.

  6. Click in the Academic Program field.

  7. Enter the desired information into the Academic Program field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "LAU"

  8. Select to include eligible courses within this model in students' GPA totals and No GPA totals at your academic institution. Clear this check box to include the eligible courses as units only.

     

    Eligible courses are those courses with the Include in GPA check box selected on the Equivalent Course Information page. Conversely, ineligible courses are those with the Include in GPA check box cleared on the Equivalent Course Information page.

     

    The system renders the Include in GPA field on this page unavailable once the model is posted.

     

    Click the Include in GPA option.

  31. The system populates the remaining fields in the Equivalent Course group box based on the course ID you entered; however you can change the values if needed.

  32. You can click the Student Agreements link to view the details of a student's study agreement, including the external course and internal equivalent course.

  34. Use the Course Credits by Term page to calculate an individual's transfer credit statistics for a model based on the accepted internal equivalent courses of the model.

  35. When you calculate the individual's transfer credit statistics, the system calculates the units taken and the units transferred.

     

    If you selected to include the courses in the individual's GPA, the system calculates that as well.

     

    Click the Calculate button.
