Tracking Student Attributes


Concept


Steps:

  1. Begin by navigating to the Student Attributes page.

     

    Click the Records and Enrollment link.

  2. Click the Student Program/Plan link.

  3. Enter the desired information into the ID field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "SR0401"

  4. Click the Academic Career list.

    Step 4
  5. Click the Undergraduate list item.

    Step 5
  6. Click the Search button.

    Step 6
  7. Use the Student Program page to add an academic program to a student’s program stack, maintain the student’s academic program record, or execute program actions that update the student’s academic program record.

  8. Enter the desired information into the Requirement Term field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "0590"

  9. Click the Student Attributes tab.

  10. Use the Student Attributes page to track student attributes and values for students.

  11. Enter the student attribute that you want to attach to the student for cohort tracking and reporting purposes. 

     

    Enter the desired information into the Student Attribute field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "CHRT"
    .

  12. Click in the Student Attribute Value field.

  13. Enter the desired information into the Student Attribute Value field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "FALL2007"
    .

  14. Click in the Primacy field.

    Step 14
  15. Enter the primacy number for this student attribute. If you enter the same student attribute more than once, the Consolidate Academic Statistics process writes the one with the lowest primacy number to the student’s consolidated statistics record.

     

    Enter the desired information into the Primacy field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "10"
    .

  16. Click the Save button.

You have successfully tracked attributes for a student in the system.
