Steps:
Begin by navigating to the Residency Official 1 page.
Click the Campus Community link.
Step 1Click the Personal Information link.
Step 2Click the Identification link.
Step 3Click the Residency Data link.
Step 4Enter the desired information into the ID field. Enter
Click the Search button.
Step 6Use the Residency Official 1 page to enter official residency data for an individual.
Step 7Use the Institution field to define the institution with which this individual is associated. It defaults based on the implementation rules established by your institution. You can override this value if needed. In this example, retain the default value.
Step 8In the Effective Term field, enter the code for the term for which this residency data is effective for this individual.
Click in the Effective Term field.
Step 9In this example, the code for the Fall 2007 term is 0590.
Enter the desired information into the Effective Term field. Enter
From the Residency drop-down list, select the rule (from the Residency Table page) that describes the individual's residency status.
In this example, the student is an in-state resident.
Click the Residency list.
Step 11Click the In State list item.
Step 12In the Residency Date field, enter the date that the individual established or reported the residency.
Click in the Residency Date field.
Step 13Enter the desired information into the Residency Date field. Enter
Use the Additional Residency Data section to define residency for specific classifications in your institution. They default to same residency as entered in the Official Residency Data section, but can be modified for the individual rows listed here.
In this example, the student has in-state residency for all classifications.
Step 15Click the Residency Official 2 tab.
Step 16Use the Residency Official 2 page to enter additional official residency data for an individual.

Click the Residency Appeal tab.
Step 24Use the Residency Appeal page to record residency appeal information. For example, a student may have been considered Out of State for tuition and he or she wants to submit additional information to qualify for in-state tuition.
In this example, the student does not need to appeal her residency.
Step 25Click the Residency Self-Report tab.
Step 26Use the Residency Self-Report page to enter unofficial, unverified residency information that an individual reports to your institution.
In this example, the student is not appealing her residency; and therefore, has nothing to report.
Step 27Click the Save button.
Step 28You have successfully entered residency data for an individual.
