Using the Transfer Page


Concept


Steps:

  1. Begin by navigating to the Page Transfer page.

     

    Click the PeopleTools link.

  4. Use the Advanced Search link to search by Process Name.

     

    Click the Advanced Search link.

  5. Click in the Process Name field.

  6. In this example we will use the process APPMSGARCH.

     

    Enter the desired information into the Process Name field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "APPMSGARCH"

  7. Click the Search button.

  8. Click the Show following tabs button.

  9. Click the Page Transfer tab.

  10. Use the Page Transfer page to enable a user to go directly from the Process Monitor to a designated page in the PeopleSoft application. Specify navigational route that an end user must follow through the PeopleSoft menu interface.

  11. Click the Page Transfer Code list.

  12. Select Next Page to enable the Page Transfer feature for this process.

     

    Click the Next Page list item.

  13. After you select Next page, you will need to enter the navigation path that the user follows through the PeopleSoft menu interface.

  14. Use the Menu Name field to enter the menu for the navigation.

     

    Click in the Menu Name field.

  15. In this example, the menu name is IB_PROFILE.

     

    Enter the desired information into the Menu Name field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "IB_PROFILE"

  16. Use the Menu Bar Name field to select the appropriate menu bar.

     

    Click in the Menu Bar Name field.

  18. Use the Menu Item field to select the appropriate menu item.

  20. Use the Page Name field to select the appropriate page name.

  22. Use the Save button to save the transfer information.

     

    Click the Save button.

  23. In order to test the transfer page, you will navigate to the Archive Monitor Data page.

     

    Click the Integration Broker link.

  26. Click the Add a New Value tab.

  27. Enter the desired information into the Run Control ID field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "ARCHIVE"

  29. Use the Run Archive page to enter the request parameters. For this example, select the Archive All option.

     

    Click the Archive All option.

  30. Click the Run button to access the Process Scheduler Request page.

  31. Use the Process Scheduler Request page to enter or update parameters, such as server name and report/process output format.

  33. Use the Process Monitor link to view the status of this process.

     

    Click the Process Monitor link.

  34. Use the Process List page to view the status of submitted report/process requests.

  35. The current status of the report/process is Queued. The report/process is finished when the status is Success. Continue to click the Refresh button until the status is Success.

     

    Click the Refresh button.

  36. Use the Details link for the process you want to view.

     

    Click an entry in the Details column.

  37. If a transfer page is configured for the process, the Transfer link is active.

     

    Click the Transfer link.

  38. You are transferred to the page defined in the Process definition, which in this example is the Service Operations Monitor Overview page.

  39. In this example, you ran the archive process, so you want to view archived service operations.

     

    Click the Archived check box to see the service operations that were archived.

     

    Click the Archived option.

  40. Use the Refresh button to view service operations using the changes to the filter.

  41. In this example, all service operations were archived and the totals are displayed on the page.
