The first step in creating a report is to open an Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) connection. The ODBC creates a link from the Crystal Reports application to the PeopleSoft database so that the report can retrieve the data from the selected query.

 

After you create the report, you save it. Three report save types are:

• Save

• Save As

• Save Data with Report
