Modifying Queries


Concept


Steps:

  1. Begin by navigating to the Fields page.

     

    Click the Reporting Tools link.

  2. Click the Query Manager link.

  3. Click the Search button.

  4. In this example, you will edit the Dimension Control Table query.

     

    Click an entry in the Edit column.

  5. Click the Edit button on the Description row of the query you want to modify.

     

    Click the Edit button.

  6. Use the Edit Field Properties page to format the query output.

  7. Use the Heading section to set the column heading.

  8. Use the No Heading option to indicate that the column does not have a heading.

  9. Use the Text option to indicates that the column heading is the text that you have entered in the text box.

  10. Use the RFT Short option to indicates that the column heading is the short name from the record definition.

  11. Use the RFT Long option to indicates that the column heading is the long name from the record definition.

  12. In this example, use the Text heading option.

     

    Click the Text option.

  13. Enter the desired information into the Heading Text field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "Description"
    .

  14. Click the OK button.

  15. In this example, delete the Book Mark field.

     

    Click the Delete button.

You have successfully modified a query.
