Creating Scheduled JobSets



  1. Begin by navigating to the Schedule JobSet Definitions search page.


    Click the PeopleTools link.

  4. Click the Add a New Value tab.

  5. Enter the desired information into the Schedule Name field. Enter

     a valid value
     "Weekly Cross Reference Report"

  6. Select the Job Name that you want to schedule.


    Click in the Job Name field.

  9. Use the Schedule JobSet Definition page to set JobSet scheduling options.

  10. By default, the Description field uses the schedule name.

  11. Use the Run Control ID field to enter a run control ID for this scheduled jobset.


    Click in the Run Control ID field.

  12. Enter the desired information into the Run Control ID field. Enter

     a valid value
     "Weekly Xref"

  13. To schedule the JobSet, you must enter and save changes, change the Status to Active, and then save. Once scheduled, the status is Completed.


    Click the Status list.

  15. Use the Recurrence Name field to select a recurrence name for running at previously defined intervals.


    Click the Look up Recurrence Name button.

  16. Select the Recurrence Name from the list. Select Weekly_Mon_9am.


    Click an entry in the Recurrence Name column.

  17. Click the Schedule JobSet Items tab.

  18. Use the Schedule JobSet Items page to specify options for individual jobs and processes.

  19. Use the General Setting page to specify individual  run control IDs for the required jobs and processes.

  22. By default,  the output type for jobsets is None. The output type for each individual process is used. Use the Type field to change the output type for the jobset.


    Click the Type list.

  24. By default, the output format for jobsets is None. The output format for each individual process is used.  To set an output format for the JobSet change the entry in the Format field.

  28. Use the Schedule JobSet Requests page to view the status of each process request contained in the selected JobSet without using Process Monitor.

  30. Use the JobSet Report page to display a hierarchical view of processes in a JobSet.
