Organizing Queries



  1. Begin by navigating to the Query Manager search page.


    Click the Reporting Tools link.

  2. Click the Query Manager link.

  3. Enter the desired information into the begins with field. Enter

     a valid value

  4. Click the Search button.

  5. Click the DEMO_NEW_QRY option.

  6. Click the Action list.

  7. Use the Add to Favorites option to add selected queries to My Favorites Queries list.

  8. Use the Copy to User option to copy private queries to other users.


    The user who is being copied to must have access to the records with which the query is associated.


    If that user does not have access, the query does not appear in that user’s search list.

  9. Use the Deleted Selected option to delete any public query that you have access to as well as any private query that you have created.

  10. Use the Move to Folder option to move queries in folders to easily access the queries.

  11. Use the Rename Selected option to changes the name of the selected queries.

  12. You can access a frequently used query from the Query Manager search page by designating the query as a favorite.


    Click the Add to Favorites list item.

  13. Click the Go button.

  14. After you create a favorite, the My Favorite Queries list appears on the Query Manager search page.


    A search for those queries that are in the list isn’t necessary because the favorites appear on the search page.

  15. Note that the selected query, DEMO_NEW_QRY,  now appears in the My Favorite Queries section.

You have successfully added a query to your favorites list.
