Steps:

  1. Begin by navigating to the Schedule Query page.

    Click the Reporting Tools link.

    Step 1
  2. Click the Schedule Query link.

    Step 2
  3. You can run a report by searching for an existing Run Control ID or you can add a new value.

Creating a Run Control ID that is relevant to the report may help you remember it for future use.

In this example, you will create a new run control ID.

Click the Add a New Query link.

    Step 3
  4. A Run Control ID is an identifier that, when paired with your User ID, uniquely identifies the report you are running.

The Run Control ID defines parameters that are used when a report is run. This ensures that when a report runs in the background, the system does not prompt you for additional values.

In this example, create the run control ID as 123.

Enter the desired information into the Run Control ID field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "123"
    .

    Step 4
  5. Click the Add button.

    Step 5
  6. Use the Schedule Query page to enter the request parameters. These parameters will be used to define the processing rules and data to be included when the report or process is run.

    Step 6
  7. In this example, run the QE_EMPLOYEE query.

Enter the desired information into the Query Name field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "QE_EMPLOYEE"
    .

  11. Use the Process Scheduler Request page to enter or update parameters, such as server name and report output format.

    Step 11
  12. You must select a Server Name to identify the server on which the report runs.

If you use the same Run Control ID for subsequent processes, the server name that you last used will populate this field by default.

    Click the Server Name list.

    Step 12
  13. Click the PSNT list item.

    Step 13
  14. Click in the Run Time field.

    Step 14

Enter the desired information into the Run Time field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "3:16:30pm"
    .

    Step 15
  16. Use the Type field to select the type of output you that want to generate for this job.

In this example, accept the default value Web.

    Step 16
  17. Use the Format field to define the output format for the report. The values are dependent upon the Process Type that you have selected.

In this example, accept the default value TXT.

    Step 21
  22. The current status of the report is Queued. The report is finished when the status is Success.

    Step 22
  23. Continue to click the Refresh button until the status is Success.

    Click the Refresh button.

    Step 23
