Understanding Report Manager

  1. This diagram depicts the process flow to post reports to the report repository.

    Step 1
  2. When the process runs, the files are posted to the process scheduler server. If the output type is web, the status is changed to Posting.

    Step 2
  3. If the output is a report, the distribution agent will copy the report to the report repository using the copy method defined for the Report Node.

    Step 3
  4. The server must be configured to use the appropriate report node.

    Step 4
  5. For system files, the server configuration is checked to see whether the system files should be posted to the Report Repository.

    Step 5
  6. If you see a status of Posted in the Process Monitor, but your reports do not appear, the server was not set up to transfer the reports.

    Step 6

In summary when a process creates a report with an output type of web, the report output will be transferred to the report repository using the distribution method associated with the Server running the process.
