Steps:
Begin by creating a new report.
Click the New button.
Step 1Click the As a Blank Report option.
Step 2Click the OK button.
Step 3This is a report template. Therefore, you do not want to connect to a specific Peoplesoft Query at this time.
Click the Cancel button.
Step 4Click the Field Explorer button.
Step 5The fields that you want to add to the template are called Special Fields in Crystal.
Step 6Open the Special Fields folder.
Click the expand button.
Step 7The fields that you want to add to this template are: Page Number, Report Title, and Data Date. To add a field, you can double-click and place it in the template, click and drag it to the template, or click the field and click the Insert to Report button. In this example, you will use the Insert to Report button.
Click the Page Number list item.
Step 8Click the Insert to Report button.
Step 9Click the Page Footer section to place the Page Number field in the footer of the report template.
Click the Page Footer cell.
Step 10Click the Report Title list item.
Step 11Click the Insert to Report button.
Step 12Click the Report Header section to place the Report Title field in the header of the report template.
Click the Report Header cell.
Step 13Notice that the title is aligned to the left.
Click the Align Center button.
Step 14The last field you want to add is the Data Date field. This is the date in which the data was last refreshed on the report.
Click the Data Date list item.
Step 15Click the Insert to Report button.
Step 16Click the Report Header section to place the Data Date field in the header of the report template.
Click the Report Header cell.
Step 17Next, add some text fields to the report to better describe what will be displayed.
Click the Insert Text Object button.

You have inserted the required fields into the report template. Now, close the Field Explorer dialog box.
Click the Close button.
Step 24You next want to view what the report will look like with these fields applied to it.
Click the Print Preview button.
