Adding New Content to Managed Content


Concept


Steps:

  1. Begin by navigating to the Add Content page.

     

    Click the Content Management link.

  3. Click an entry in the Title column.

  5. Click the Add Content button.

  6. Use the Add Content page to specify the type of content you want to add to a folder in managed content. Managed content supports file attachments, image attachments, image URLs, text or HTML content creation, and website URLs. When content is added to managed content, its status is set to checked out.

     

    In this example, you will manually add a file attachment as managed content.

  7. Click the Content Type list.

  10. Use the File Attachment Properties page to enter content properties such as title, summary, and content location; to submit content for publication; and to maintain comments or discussions specific to that piece of content, among other functions.

  12. Enter the desired information into the Title field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "Administering Enterprise Portal"
    .

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "Enterprise Portal course synopsis"

  20. When the folder properties are set to auto-approved, the Version Status field indicates that new content is approved when it is added.
