Adding Pagelets to the Related Data Module



  1. Begin by navigating to the Related Pagelets page for the collaborative workspace.


    Click the Portal Administration link.

  8. Use the Related Pagelets page to create a collection of additional pagelets relevant to a collaborative workspace. All pagelets in all portal registries within the portal database are available for selection as related pagelets. Once the workspace administrator creates the collection of pagelets, these pagelets will be available to members of the workspace through the Related Data module.


    In this example, as the workspace administrator, you will add four pagelets to this collaborative workspace.

  13. When you select the Context-Sensitive option for a pagelet, the keys and key values associated with the collaborative workspace are passed to the pagelet. For example, start with a company overview collaborative workspace tied to the key (SYMBL) for the Stock Symbol page. The collaborative workspace was created and linked to a specific company with stock symbol WXYZ. Then, a pagelet that displays stock information is added to the workspace. By selecting the Context-Sensitive option, this pagelet is passed the information “SYMBL=WXYZ,” which is passed by way of the query string.


    In this example, none of the pagelets are added in a context-sensitive manner.

    Click the Add Related Pagelet button.
