Assigning the Dynamic Content Template to a Menu Item

Steps:

  1. Begin by navigating through the Context Manager Center to the Content Ref Administration page.

     

    Click the Portal Administration link.

  3. Click the Structure and Content link.

  4. In this example, you will assign the dynamic content template to Course Definition, which resides within the Courses menu.

     

    Click an entry in the Label column.

  5. Click an entry in the Label column.

  6. Click an entry in the Edit column.

  7. Use the Content Ref Administration page to change the page template assigned to a particular menu item.

     

    In order to display related content template pagelets, a menu item (also called a content reference, or a page) must have the dynamic content template (PAPP_DYNAMIC_CON_TEMPLATE) assigned to it.

     

    In this example, you will assign the dynamic content pagelet to the current menu item, Course Definition.

  8. Click the Template Name list.

  9. Click the PAPP_DYNAMIC_CON_TEMPLATE list item.

  10. Click the vertical scrollbar.

  12. Optionally, you can navigate to the transaction page to see that the dynamic content template is in effect.

     

    Click the Home link.

  15. The Administer Pagelets link and the Menu pagelet within the menu frame indicate that the dynamic content template is in effect for this page.
