Creating a Spider Run Control Entry


Concept


Steps:

  1. Begin by navigating to the Categorization Spider page.

     

    Click the Content Management link.

  2. Click the Categorization Spider link.

  3. You can run this process by searching for an existing run control ID or you can add a new value. Creating a run control ID that is relevant to the process may help you remember it for future use.

     

    Click the Add a New Value tab.

  4. Enter the desired information into the Run Control ID field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "EPAdmin"
    .

  5. Click the Add button.

  6. Use the Categorization Spider page to identify the content source and establish control parameters for running the Application Engine process.

     

    In this example, you will define the attributes of a previously identified content source and specify the run control parameters.

  7. Click the Source Type list.

  8. Click the File Server list item.

  9. Click in the Source Name field.

  10. Enter the desired information into the Source Name field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "EPAdmin"

  11. Click in the Spider Start Location field.

  12. Enter the desired information into the Spider Start Location field. Enter

     "E:\EPAdmin"
    .

  13. Click in the Remap Path to This URL field.

  14. Enter the desired information into the Remap Path to This URL field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "http://localhost:8010/EPAdmin"
    .
