Managing Action Items



  1. Begin by navigating to the Action Item Details page.


    Click the My Content link.

  5. The Action Item Details page is used to add or modify an action item for an action item list. The Action Item Details page enables you to specify the description, priority, due date, and to whom the action is assigned, as well as add additional information in the form of file attachments or managed content.


    In this example, you will assign an existing action item to another employee, add progress remarks, and add an attachment and managed content to the item.

  6. Click the Status list.

  8. The Assigned To field is optional even when the status is assigned. You can enter text directly in this field or look up the entry from the list of all users in the system. Initially, the Lookup page displays all users with the action item list members appearing at the top of the lookup list.


    In this example, you will enter text directly in the field.


    Click in the Assigned to field.

  9. Enter the desired information into the Assigned To field. Enter

     a valid value

  10. Enter optional remarks in the Progress Remarks field.


    For the purpose of this example, the text will be entered for you to save time.


    Click in the Progress Remarks field.

  11. In this example, you will add a relevant file as an attachment.


    Click the Attachment Type list.

  12. Notice that the profile name for the employee you specified appears next to the Assigned To field as a link to the employee's profile page.


    Click the File Attachment list item.

  22. Use the Look Up Managed Content page to look up managed content to attach to the action item.
