Begin by navigating to the Share Content page for a news article.

Use the Share Content page to convert the origin of a news article to the managed content feature, which makes the article accessible in other content management features—for example, in categorized content or collaborative workspaces. The article is placed in a system-generated folder named Shared Content within the managed content feature, and the article is marked as imported in the news publications feature. Unlike other managed content imported into news publications, shared content remains editable within news publications as well as editable within the managed content feature. Sharing the content also enables version control for the article when it is accessed from the managed content feature.

Notice that the Share to Folder field is automatically populated with the system-generated folder name: Shared Content.Step 8

You must submit the article for your change to take effect.

Notice that the Content Origin field now indicates an origin of managed content. The icon to the right indicates that this is shared content.Step 11
