Importing Managed Content


Concept


Steps:

  1. Begin by navigating to the Add Content page.

     

    Click the Content Management link.

  2. Click the Browse Folders link.

  3. Click an entry in the Title column.

  4. Click the Add Content button.

  5. Use the Add Content page to specify the type of content you want to add to a folder in categorized content. Categorized content supports file attachments, image attachments, image URLs, managed content, menu items, text or HTML content creation, and website URLs.

     

    Importing managed content into categorized content is similar to adding other types of content manually. When managed content is manually added to categorized content, its status is set to pending publication.

     

    In this example, you will import a piece of managed content as categorized content.

  6. Click the Content Type list.

  9. Use the Look Up Managed Content page to select the piece of managed content to import.

  10. Click an entry in the Content Title column.

  11. Use the Web Site URL Properties page to review content properties such as title, source, and summary; to specify content location; to submit content for publication; and to maintain comments or discussions specific to that piece of content, among other functions.

  12. Click the Submit button to save your work and submit the content for publication.

  13. Click the PeopleSoft Documents link.

  14. The new content appears in the folder with a status of pending publication. The modified date indicates when the content was approved in the managed content feature.

You have completed importing a piece of managed content into the categorized content feature of the content management system.
