Steps:
Begin by navigating to the File Attachment Properties page.
Click the My Content link.
Step 1Click the My Managed Content link.
Step 2Click an entry in the Content Item Status column.
Step 3Click the Properties link.
Step 4Use the File Attachment Properties page to modify content properties such as content location, content approver, and content version; to check content out, to check it in, and to submit it for approval; and to maintain comments or discussions specific to that piece of content, among other functions.
When you check out a file attachment, you are prompted to save it to a local drive and folder.
In this example, you will check out this piece of managed content.
Step 5Click the Check Out button.
Step 6Click the Save button.
Step 7Click the Save button.
Step 8Notice the changes to the Version, Version Status, Created, and Modified fields.
Checking out a piece of content creates a new version with a status of draft.
Step 9Also notice the icon indicating that this content is checked out and locked.
Step 10You have completed checking out an item of managed content.
